Heating oil: Be prepared

How much will you need? How much will it cost? Call your oil company today and ask for the average gallons per season your home consumed over the past three years. Then multiply by $5 per gallon and divide by 12 months. Arrange for a monthy payment plan so you don't get with a $1,000 fill up bill in one month!

Conserve! Cutting down fuel use by 25% in a home that uses 1,000 gallons could save you $1,250 or more this winter! Tighening up air leaks around doors and windows with weather stripping and storm windows/doors is the place to start.
